WARNING
The application for a national identity card and passport is only for people naturalized French.
Naturalization is a method of acquiring French nationality which is not automatic. National identity card
The National Identity Card (CNI) allows its holder to certify his identity, even when it has expired, provided the photo is similar.
It is not compulsory.
The "laminated" national identity cards has been in use since 1995.
The request is made at MUSSIDAN Town Hall.

PROOF OF ADDRESS (LESS THAN ONE YEAR)
In your first and names (or those of your spouse):
- Invoice or schedule for GAZ, EDF, telephone, tax notice, home insurance,
- Printed electronic invoice is accepted.
If you are hosted:
- A signed letter from the host certifying that you have lived with him for more than 3 months,
- Identity document of the host,
- Proof of address in the name of the host.
1 COLOR PHOTO (less than 6 months uncut)
- Resembling and identical closed mouth and neutral expression,
- Plain gray or light blue background : white is prohibited,
- Centered face, front and neck clear,
- Eyes (glasses prohibited) and ears clearly visible.
Format:
- Photo frame: 35 x 45mm
- Face: 32 to 36mm between the base of the chin and the top of the head.
Photos must be taken by a professional photographer or an approved booth.

LOSS OR THEFT
- Birth certificate less than 3 months old or secure passport valid or expired less than 5 years old or unsecured passport expired for less than 2 years,
- If possible document with photo: driving license, vital card, transport card,...
- Declaration of theft issued by the police or declaration of loss made in town hall on the day of the file,
- Tax stamps: 25€ (paper: tobacconist or dematerialized: timbres.impots.gouv.fr)
CHANGE OF MATRIMONIAL REGIME
- Marriage: marriage certificate or birth certificate with mention dated les than 3 months,
- Divorce: (for people wishing to keep the name of the ex-spouse) divorce judgment authorizing the retention of the name

- Certificate of the ex-spouse + copy of their identity card
- Widowhood: death certificate.
MAJOR UNDER CURATORSHIP
- Court decision establishing tutorship or curatorship,
- Mandatory presence of the guardian (+ identity document) for the guardianship.
MINOR
- Identity document of the person with parental authority (Only authorized to request and withdrawthe CNI),
- Proof of address in the nameof the legal representative,
- Alternate custody: proof of address for both parents + copy of CNI parent absent + divorce or final separation judgment or sworn certificate jointly signed,
- Name of minor use: co-signed certificate of both parents + copy of CNI parent absent,
- Family record book.
PASSPORT

- Biometric passport issued since June 28, 2009.
