If you became French between the ages of 16 and 25, you must register within one month of obtaining French nationality.
You must register (or be registered by your legal representative) at the town hall of your domicile as soon as your sixteenth birthday or within the following 3 months. You must bring an identity document and the family certificate will then issued to you.
The census will allow you:
- Register for exams and competitions subject to public authority control (BAC,BEP, driving license),
- To carry out the Defense Preparation Appeal Day (JAPD),
- If you wish, extend this day with a civilian or military volunteer service in the defense of the country.
